This year, Scott let the kids pick what they wanted to get me for Mother’s Day. Donavan got me the cake and Garrett got me the flowers I am wearing. Antonia got me candle but i don’t have a picture of that.
Yes, I know, I don’t blog very often, but oh well.
I threatened to make Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for Mothers Day so Scott fixed a nice meal. It was pretty good
Thanks to Donavan we even had dessert.
Well, my kids are waiting for me to go outside so I”ll get you the Father’s Day pics later..maybe tomorrow, maybe next week, who knows.

The first weekend in June is Fish Days here in Lake Andes. The carnival comes to town for the weekend and there are a lot of other activities going on. We usually at least go to the parade on Saturday. The last two years the boys have participated in the Pedal Pull. This year, Donavan placed first and Garrett placed second in their divisions. Donavan wasn’t going to go the Pedal Pull this year because the ATV mud run was going on at that time. Thanks to a mistake Mommy and Daddy made, he didn’t get to go to the Mud Run. Anyone that placed first or second in the Pedal Pull is elegible to go to the State Pedal Pull in Mitchell come Sept. Since he got a trophy, I don’t think Donavan is as disappointed that he didn’t get to watch the mud run.

Donavan — First Place
Garrett — Second Place
I still need to get the pics on here from Mother’s Day and Father’s day. Hopefully in the next week or two I’ll have them on here…lol

I wanted to take this time to thank those who have served in the military. Thanks for fighting for my freedom. Thanks to all the families who have had to go without their spouse, child, etc. Your sacrifice means a lot to me.

I promised pictures about a month ago of a cookout we had. Mom reminded me the other day that there were no pics on here yet so….
That is David and Patricia Troyer. They pastor the Wesleyan Church here in town. We enjoy getting together with them and it has pretty much become a tradition to have to over for the kid’s birthdays.
This was an extension of Antonia’s birthday. We took her to McDonald’s for her birthday instead of having a party so when we had the cookout, Troyer’s brought her present. Of course she liked that. Garrett has already said he wants to go to McDonald’s for his birthday. (Thankfully we have until July.)

For those of you that care, we ended up with about a foot of snow. About 45 minutes north of us, they ended up with 21 inches or so.

Okay…yesterday our weather was rainy. We had a thunderstorm in the morning. The day before that it was in the 70’s. Today, SNOW!!! (Picture was to be here but due to the weather, my internet connection is bad. I’ll have picture later)
The rumor mill says we could get 15 to 20 inches. We got about 4 inches in a hour and a half but the highest accumulation I can find predicted is 8 inches. We’ll see.

We had a little bit of excitement last week although I’ll admit it was excitement we could live without. We found out Charity takes seizures now when she runs a fever. She was acting funny so I called Scott at work (He is working at a garage on Wednesdays) so he could see what was going on. He came home and took her down to the clinic. She came out of the seizure before we had to transfer her to a hospital and all the tests came back okay so we are assuming it was b’c she was running a fever.
Friday evening, e were planning a cook out with some friends of ours here in town. (I’ll have pics of it later.) Scott came home about an hour before it was to start and told me he thought he might have broken his arm. Basically, he tripped over the gas hose when he was filling up the ambulance. He caught himself and ended up spraining his arm pretty bad. Now he thinks he has an excuse for not doing dishes
I have pics of Easter and the cookout that I’ll hopefully get on here soon. I know, Mom, Easter was quite a while ago
Oh yeah, one more thing…I think Antonia is finally potty trained. She didn’t beat Wyatt (her cousin) like she wanted but at least we’ve made some progress.

Yesterday we took my (scott) mother back to Grand Island. It is about 3 1/2 hours down there. While we were there we figured that we might as well shop since we were near a Wal-Mart. So we bought two weeks worth of groceries. That took about two hours and then we traveled back home. What a long day that was. It was good to be home. My wife bought a movie she had been wanting: Saving Sarah Cain. When we got home last night, it was 10:20. She asked if I wanted to watch the movie. If it would have been one that I wanted to watch she would have said that it was time for her to go to bed. I don’t get the change.
We have company coming to the church today. The Shermans from Canada are stopping in on their way to Winner, SD. We went over to get things out of totes for them to use while they are here and with no one living in the trailer it is really falling apart. Well I have work to do today so I had better get off of here and get things done. I have been preaching a series of sermons on “What We Believe.” It has done me good to study into why I believe that (A.) The Bible is the Unerring Word of God. (B.) That there is a God. (C.) And His Son Jesus Christ. Last week being Easter we researched the Resurrection and why we believe that Jesus did raise from the grave.
There are some boys that came to church at one time and they usually caused problems. We have quit picking them up. Sunday evening I got a phone call that I needed to pick up someone at South Housing. I thought it was a fellow named Christian but… When we arrived there, there stood those three young men. As they got in the van I told them that they had better behave because I was not messing around with their attitude. They said they would be good. Well, I guess concidering who it was they were pretty good. Well I had better go. C-YA
